Job summary

Microart Services Inc. is seeking a Factory Automation Assistant for a six-month contract with potential to convert to full-time. The role supports the Production Overhead department and reports to the CEO, with a 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM shift.

You will perform hands-on electronic assembly, SMT help, and assist with testing and process improvements in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, a quick learner, and comfortable with basic tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on electronic assembly, modification, repair, and rework.
  • Use hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively.
  • Assist with soldering, desoldering, wire termination, connector installation, and component replacement as required.
  • Troubleshoot basic electrical, electronic, mechanical, and automation-related issues.
  • Read and follow electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
  • Assist engineers and production staff with equipment setup, testing, and process improvements.
  • Identify production problems and assist in determining root causes and corrective actions.
  • Perform inspections and functional testing of electronic assemblies and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of rework, repairs, testing, and equipment issues.
  • Keep the work area organized and follow company safety and quality procedures.
  • Support other general manufacturing and production support duties as required.

Role Type: 6 Months Contract with possibility to covert to Full-time in future


Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM



Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform hands-on electronic assembly, modification, repair, and rework.
