Job Description

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for running the Production line. This includes operating machinery, ensuring that raw materials are fed properly through the manufacturing process, resolving line stoppages, clearing equipment jams, verifying finished products against quality specifications, and ensuring that products are properly prepared for shipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to safety policies, programs, procedures.
  2. Inspect raw material and finished products per quality specifications.
  3. Conduct quality checks at regular intervals.
  4. Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with standard work instructions.
  5. Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift.
  6. Enter waste and downtime data into the system.
  7. General housekeeping duties.
  8. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 2 years’ experience in industrial manufacturing or construction industry preferred.
  2. Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time.
  3. Manual dexterity.
  4. Attention to detail.
  5. Ability to follow direction and specific instructions.
  6. Good communication skills; fluent in English - reading, writing, and speaking.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
  2. PPE including hard hat, safety footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves must be worn at all times in the plant operations area.

This is a full-time unionized permanent position.
