Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience operating a counter-balance forklift is preferred.
  • Experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction is advantageous.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to safety policies, programs, procedures
  2. Complete health & safety pre-start checklists
  3. Ensure product being produced meets established quality specifications
  4. Document quality checks at regular intervals
  5. Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with established operating procedures
  6. Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift
  7. Document production numbers, items contributing to down-time (using computerized system called PRODAC, as well as hand-written production reports)
  8. Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
  9. General housekeeping duties
  10. Additional duties as assigned by Supervisory staff

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 1 year of counter-balance forklift operating experience (Recommended)
  2. Experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing, construction, or similar industry preferred
  3. Comfortable with working in a dusty environment
  4. Manual dexterity
  5. Attention to detail
  6. Fluent in verbal and written English

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
  2. Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time
  3. Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces

PPE includes hard hat, safety footwear, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, face mask and face shield. Some tasks require wearing N95 mask (fit testing required) where candidate must be clean shaven.
