Responsibilities
  • Handle all elements of the sector's operations, including planning, efficiency, and management of non-conformities.
  • Supervise and manage team members and their employees.
  • Assign work to production personnel to ensure that all products comply with customer order requirements and are delivered on time.
  • Implement a production management system and ensure its smooth operation.
  • Supervise, support, evaluate, and motivate the employees reporting to you, while keeping them informed and upholding a positive work environment in the sector.
  • Help develop the business unit's objectives and implement the related strategy.
  • Act as an ambassador for the workplace health and safety program, promote risk prevention measures and oversee the implementation of recommendations from the workplace health and safety committee and outside partners.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to their implementation.
  • Ensure that equipment is updated, regularly maintained, and performs as it should.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standard practices and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators and introduce necessary corrective measures.
  • Cooperate with other departments as needed.
  • Prepare and lead meetings relevant to your position.
  • Play an active role in hiring of employees, their integration, training, and development.
  • Prepare and conduct performance evaluation meetings with employees in your sector.
  • Take on, as required or at your supervisor's request, any responsibility falling under your authority.
Qualifications
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams, with a strong focus on coaching and performance management
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and setting priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • College diploma in operations and production management, mechanical or industrial engineering or a combination of education and experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience managing production teams, with a strong emphasis on people leadership and financial oversight
  • Experience in the printing industry is an asset, but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management tools
