Job description

General Description: This primary function of this position is to link the product and business needs of the Canadian business to the global Product Line Management structure and processes. Specifically, the Canadian Product Marketing Manager will ensure process alignment with the global New Product Development (NPD), channel strategy (i.e. TRUBlue), strategic pricing, and overall Product Lifecycle Management processes.

As such, the Canadian PMM will be responsible for the financial performance, strategic planning, and execution throughout the lifecycle of the products in the Canadian portfolio. The PMM serves as the business manager and leader for the products and acts as the primary conduit to the global PLM structure to ensure process consistency and incorporation of the Canadian products into the global product portfolio. The Canadian PMM will lead cross functional product teams in execution of product line strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the industry and the competition for the product
  • Segment markets, identifying target customers and uncovering unmet customer needs
  • Gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements
  • Defining the product vision and multi-generational product strategy and plan
  • Determine product pricing strategy and set price levels and guidelines for sales
  • Forecasting volumes, market share and revenue
  • Ensuring revenue, profitability, cash flow, and customer satisfaction goals are met
  • Leading cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, marketing communication and customer support to achieve objectives
  • Ensuring products support the company's overall strategy and goals
  • Ensure that the Canadian product portfolio is incorporated into the global product platform, rationalizing where necessary and incorporating the unique performance and regulatory requirements of the Canadian market into the global product portfolios
