Overview

This role reports to the Warehouse Manager and focuses on ensuring efficient and cost-effective production results. You will meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs, and productivity). You will also develop programs, projects, goals, and metrics to drive operational performance while optimizing working capital in Operations.

Your Role: Own the Challenge

  • Prepare annual production budget, oversee progress, and determine actions to address cost issues to manage operations within budget and resources.
  • Develop and execute plans to reduce non-value-added costs, increase revenues, and deliver products on time with high factory and supplier yields while decreasing product field failure rates.
  • Ensure Four Quadrants (4Q) program training and methods are implemented in the organization.
  • Provide support during customer visits to explain capabilities of the manufacturing facilities.
  • Ensure all staff understand and follow ABB’s core values, Code of Conduct, and global/local standards, promoting integrity and ethical behavior.
  • Take ownership of HSE performance, assess risks, and implement safety measures to protect people and equipment.
  • Encourage cross-functional teamwork and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support ABB’s strategic goals.
  • Organize and staff effectively, inspire and mentor team members, and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Review team structure and competencies regularly, ensuring alignment with business needs and driving ongoing improvements in performance.

What It Takes To Run What Runs The World

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations and logistics management or equivalent
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in distribution management
  • Proficiency in French is mandatory, as well as English to communicate with internal clients and partners outside of Quebec
  • Good knowledge of SAP and warehouse and transportation management systems
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adopts a coaching approach, acts as a change agent, communicates effectively, mobilizes teams, and promotes collaboration
