Canadian Natural Resources Limited in Calgary is offering a Production Engineering Student role to support our conventional and thermal production operations. You will work with production engineers and collaborate with Operations, Exploitation, and Reservoir teams to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges.
This 4, 8, or 12‑month term starts January 2027 and is based at our Head Office in Calgary.

As a Production Engineering Student, you will work closely with Production Engineers and collaborate with Operations, Exploitation, Reservoir, Facilities, and other technical teams to support the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of our upstream oil and gas assets.
Production Engineering focuses on maximizing the performance of oil and gas wells through production surveillance, data analysis, well performance evaluation, troubleshooting, and optimization initiatives. In this role, you will apply your academic knowledge to real‑world challenges while supporting engineering studies, identifying improvement opportunities, and contributing to asset performance and operational excellence.
