Job summary

A leading logistics company in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is seeking candidates to manage operational logistics. Responsibilities include compiling orders, organizing tasks, tracking work, and resolving operational issues. Ideal candidates will have a secondary school graduation certificate and some experience is an asset. This permanent position offers a full-time schedule with 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Compile orders and instructions received from customers.
  • Develop specific plans to prioritize tasks.
  • Organize tasks to accomplish the work.
  • Plan and organize operational logistics of the organization.
  • Track and complete work orders.
  • Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments.
  • Prepare and submit reports.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work.
  • Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets and payroll.
  • Maintain work records and logs.
  • Perform general office duties.
  • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice.
  • Co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production units.
  • Compile worksheets and specifications of orders.
  • Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs.
  • Estimate type and quantity of materials and labour required.
  • Prepare and maintain progress and other reports.
  • Conduct performance reviews.
  • Co-ordinate, assign and review work.
  • Follow-up on issues with work orders.
  • Organize and maintain inventory.
