Job summary

A leading foodservice company in Edmonton is seeking a Production Chef to coordinate and prepare large volumes of meals daily, manage kitchen staff, and ensure compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a culinary management degree and at least 3 years of experience in food production management. This role offers a starting hourly rate of CAD 25.00 and full-time employment.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of foodservice or related management experience in a high volume, food production environment.
  • Solid knowledge of hygiene and occupational health and safety standards.

  • Coordinate and prepare a large volume of meals daily following several different menus and concepts.
  • Ensure appropriate portions and presentation.
  • Plan production, delegate tasks and manage kitchen staff.
  • Control and recycle surplus production.
  • Assist with the assessment of food requirements according to the menu and inventory.

Job Summary
  • Coordinate and prepare a large volume of meals daily following several different menus and concepts
  • Ensure appropriate portions and presentation
  • Plan production, delegate tasks and manage kitchen staff
  • Control and recycle surplus production
  • Assist with assessment of food requirements according to the menu and inventory, ordering the necessary commodities according to operational standards
  • Complete production sheets and/or register
  • Control the quality of commodities as soon as they arrive and rotate the stock
  • Place orders
  • Adhere to the budget
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation and safety standards
  • Assist with service provision as needed
