Job description

The Production Associate is a hands-on floor role at the heart of Santevia's manufacturing operation. You will work on the production line assembling water filtration products, packaging finished goods, and reworking non-conforming stock — following strict quality and safety standards throughout. This is a physically active position that involves standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and performing focused, repetitive tasks across your shift. You will work as part of a close-knit warehouse and production team, reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager.

This role is well suited to someone who takes pride in consistent, accurate work, shows up reliably, and genuinely cares about the quality of what they produce. No prior manufacturing experience is required. What we need is attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a safety-first mindset.

Key Performance Indicators
  • Daily production output targets met without sacrificing quality or safety.
  • Product defect and rework rate maintained below team threshold. Any quality issues caught and flagged promptly.
  • Zero recordable safety incidents. All safety protocols followed at all times.
  • Workspace maintained to 5S standard at the end of every shift.
  • Inventory entries on production runs completed accurately and on time.
Primary Responsibilities
Production Assembly
  • Work on Santevia filter assembly production lines, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and health and safety standards.
  • Assist Production Technicians in meeting shift output targets for all assigned production runs.
  • Conduct in-process quality inspections during assembly to catch non-conforming products.
  • Report any production line issues, equipment concerns, or quality anomalies to the Warehouse Operations Manager promptly.
  • Keep the production area clean, organized, and 5S-compliant throughout the shift.
Product Packaging
  • Package finished goods in accordance with Santevia quality and safety specifications.
  • Meet daily packaging targets while maintaining accuracy and zero-damage standards.
  • Inspect products during the packaging process and flag any that do not meet quality standards.
  • Record inventory transaction entries for production runs accurately in the ERP system.
  • Ensure all packaging materials are correctly labelled and compliant with applicable requirements.
Product Rework / Quarantine
  • Inspect finished or returned goods to identify non-conforming or non-sellable products.
  • Rework non-conforming products to bring them to sellable standard, following rework procedures and quality criteria.
  • Verify that reworked goods meet or exceed Santevia quality standards before returning them to inventory.
  • Segregate and quarantine goods that cannot be reworked, following product disposal or return procedures.
Warehouse & Fulfillment Support
  • Assist the fulfillment team with pick-and-pack of online and wholesale orders during high-volume periods.
  • Pack orders in accordance with Santevia procedures and all applicable shipping guidelines.
  • Support receiving operations; unloading inbound shipments, verifying counts, and putting away stock as required.
  • Assist with general warehouse organization, tidiness, and special projects as assigned by the Warehouse Operations Manager.
  • Cross-train across production and warehouse positions to support the team during peaks and absences.

Other duties may be assigned, including ensuring production areas are organized and tidy and assisting in shipping and receiving during high-volume periods.

Qualifications
  • No prior manufacturing or warehouse experience required. We provide full training on all Santevia production processes and equipment.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable standing, walking, and performing physically repetitive tasks for full shifts.
  • Basic computer literacy. Able to follow written instructions and enter data into an ERP system with training.
  • Strong attention to detail; notices quality issues and discrepancies early.
  • Reliable and punctual; this role depends on the team showing up and being present for the full shift.
  • Works well in a team environment supporting colleagues and communicates clearly.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, warehousing, assembly, or food production is an asset, but not required.
Attributes We Look For
  • Dependable: Shows up on time, every day. Your team counts on you being there to run production lines on schedule, and attendance matters.
  • Safety-Conscious: Treats safety protocols as non-negotiable, not a suggestion. You look out for yourself and your teammates, and you flag hazards rather than working around them.
  • Detail-Oriented: Catches quality issues early in the process rather than letting them move downstream. You take pride in doing the job correctly, not just quickly.
  • Team Player: Jumps in where needed — whether that's helping a teammate with a heavy lift, pitching in on a different line, or covering fulfillment during a busy day. The team works together.
  • Physically Capable: Comfortable with the physical demands of the role: standing for long shifts, lifting, repetitive motion, and maintaining pace throughout the day.
  • Adaptable: Willing to rotate through different positions and tasks as production needs shift. Cross-training is part of the role — flexibility makes the whole team stronger.
  • Respectful: Treats colleagues, management, and the shared workspace with respect. A positive, professional attitude on the floor matters.
  • Clean and Organized: Keeps the workspace clean, organized, and 5S-compliant throughout the shift — not just at the end of the day.
Daily Tasks
  • Attend team huddles to confirm shift targets, production schedule, and any priority changes.
  • Work on the Santevia filter assembly production lines, following SOPs and meeting shift output targets.
  • Inspect products during assembly and packaging; flag any quality concerns immediately.
  • Package produced goods into product boxes, meeting daily targets and labelling requirements.
  • Rework any non-conforming products assigned during the shift to bring them back to sellable standard.
  • Assist with pick-and-pack fulfillment or warehouse operations as required.
  • Clean and return the workspace to 5S standard before the end of the shift.
