Overview

Position: Production Assembler – Edmonton campus. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will help achieve operational excellence, product quality, and customer satisfaction. This role offers the opportunity to develop technical skills and contribute to innovative products within a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble electronic products using through-hole, surface-mount, and final assembly processes in accordance with IPC standards and product quality guidelines.
  • Perform hand soldering, rework, and touch-up of electronic assemblies and circuit boards to meet quality and testing requirements.
  • Prepare, populate, and stuff electronic components and circuit boards accurately and efficiently.
  • Operate and maintain production equipment such as SMT, wave solder, CNC, and printing processes as required.
  • Conduct inspections to verify workmanship and quality, including supporting inspection of work completed by new or junior team members.
  • Accurately record production data, including job tracking, run time, motion tracking, and quality records using Production Apps and e-Quality systems.
  • Process inventory transactions accurately within ERP systems and support planning and maintenance of area inventory levels.
  • Complete production kits in priority order to meet order fulfillment and shipping requirements.
  • Provide backup support to the Test department, assist with prototype builds, and process RMAs according to established procedures.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience assembling electronic products in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Hands-on experience with hand soldering, rework, and electronic assembly techniques.
  • Working knowledge of IPC standards and basic electronic quality requirements.
  • Experience operating production or manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and assembly documentation.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
  • Experience with SMT, wave solder, or CNC production equipment.
  • Experience supporting testing, prototype builds, or RMAs.
  • Enjoy mentoring or assisting with training new team members.
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and strong teamwork skills.
