Product Warehouse Shift Leader - 6-Month Fixed Term

LOCATION: Sault Ste Marie- Ontario-Canada

TYPE: Fixed Term Position (6-months)

DEPARTMENT: SUPPLY CHAIN

Role

As a Product Warehouse Shift Leader, you will supervise the handling of steel bars, tubes and coils ensuring all incoming and outgoing product processes are completed accurately and safely in line with established procedures.

Responsibilities
  • To ensure accurate receipt, inspection, and proper stowage of products.
  • Supervise the incoming product process, ensuring all receipt activities are executed in compliance with established operating procedures and safety standards.
  • Ensure all shipments are prepared and dispatched within established time frames, meeting required quality and compliance conditions.
  • Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
  • Acts as a "shift leader" being responsible for leading employees during their assigned time period/shift, coordinating schedules, assigning responsibilities and ensure work safety conditions.
  • Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area. To comply with HSE procedures, report any incident or opportunity, perform inspections and participate in the investigation process. Implement the preventive/corrective actions. Keep updated the risk analysis and the environmental aspect assessment.
  • To participate in HSE objectives setting, define and implement programs and actions applicable to the area of responsibility for continual improvement of HSE performance
