A Day in the Life of a Product Specialist at Esri Canada
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and Esri Inc product management on issues related to ArcGIS Developer products.
  • Maintain advanced‑level technical knowledge of Esri’s APIs and SDKs for building apps, extending ArcGIS, and automating workflows.
  • Explore and demonstrate emerging ArcGIS Developer products and capabilities.
  • Promote and showcase ArcGIS Developer technology.
  • Perform developer outreach activities.
  • Provide mentoring to Esri Canada technical staff and provide technical guidance through team meetings, demos, and other knowledge transfer sessions.
What you bring to the team
  • University or post‑graduate degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience building apps, extending ArcGIS, and/or automating workflows using Esri’s APIs and SDKs. This may include ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, ArcGIS Maps SDK for .NET, ArcGIS Pro SDK for .NET, ArcGIS API for Python, and ArcGIS Arcade.
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
  • Understanding of security methodologies and authentication patterns leveraged by ArcGIS.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships, collaborate with others, and coordinate resources across multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Self‑starter personality.
  • Approaches challenges with a growth mindset.
