About the Team

The Capital Markets Securities Processing team oversees a comprehensive suite of products that facilitate the processing of equities, fixed income, mutual funds, and derivatives for global sell-side brokers, with a primary client base in North America and Europe. Key offerings include Securities Processing Manager(formerly Phase3), PTP(formerly Torstone), Professional Portal(formerly WealthStation), and a range of supporting modules.

The team plays a vital role in requirements gathering, solution design, backlog prioritization, and stakeholder collaboration, and is currently transitioning to adopt Scaled Agile practices across all solutions.

What You Will Be Doing

We’re seeking a Product Owner Specialist to lead our PTP product strategy for the Canadian market, requiring strong expertise in the broker-dealer space across retail, institutional, and correspondent client segments.

  • Manage the roadmaps for all aspects of development and integration pertaining to our Canadian clients and prospects, ensuring alignment with the strategic vision for full-cycle securities processing.
  • Drive requirements gathering efforts, collaborating with clients, SMEs, third-party vendors, and internal product teams.
  • Engage in relevant industry forums and working groups (e.g., CCMA, FundServ, CDS, etc.).
  • Collaborate with development and product integration teams to effectively prioritize initiatives on the Canadian roadmap.
  • Work closely with development teams to validate solution designs and establish build plans.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to establish clear and measurable user acceptance criteria.
  • Support Professional Services during implementation and deployment of PTP Canada enhancements.
  • Monitor relevant industry trends and developments.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training, education, and work experience as well as fintech operational product experience/knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of Canadian retail, institutional and correspondent clearing operational processes.
  • Experience includes:
    • Clearing & Depository Services (CDS) processes, including Continuous Net Settlement (CNS) and settlement operations
    • CDS Account Transfer Online Notification (ATON) system
    • Paramax Arrow platform
    • FundServ transaction processing
    • Registered Plans (Registered Savings Plans/RSPs, Life Income Funds/LIFs, Registered Education Savings Plans/RESPs, etc.)
    • Working knowledge of Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) Investment Dealer and Partially Consolidated Rules (IDPC)
    • Familiarity with CIRO Client Asset Protection Rules (IDPC 4300 & 4400)
    • Understanding of CIRO Margin Requirements (IDPC 5100–5700)
    • Awareness of CIRO Dealer Reporting Requirements
  • Hands-on technical proficiency in SQL, REST API integrations, etc.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to build effective, internal and external relationships.
Added Bonus If You Have
  • Experience with one or more industry platforms such as Broadridge BPSC, Dataphile, or ISM.
  • Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.
  • Exposure to modern development practices, such as Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery or Development (CD) automation.
