Overview

The Desjardins Group Data Management and Valuation Framework Department helps business sectors and support functions take ownership of their responsibilities relating to data knowledge and management. The department leads the implementation of master data and reference data management. As a master data product manager, you play a key role in Desjardins Group’s data governance strategy. You’ll promote the vision, roadmap and product development for master data management to ensure information meets quality, consistency and compliance requirements across all systems. This role is key to ensuring consistency, quality and value of master data across the organization. You’ll be responsible for controlling data throughout its life cycle and managing its cross-sector nature. You’ll also be in charge of pooling and sharing data across Desjardins to improve knowledge (client, product, ecosystem) and the performance of internal processes. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Define and promote the master data product vision in line with the business objectives
  • Work with practitioners to prioritize needs and manage the product backlog
  • Monitor data quality and standardization across all systems
  • Work closely with IT, business and data governance teams to align deliverables
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes related to master data
  • Help implement standards, management rules and control mechanisms
  • Monitor performance indicators linked to master data management
