This Position reports to: Portfolio Manager.

Working as a Product Manager, you will be a key member of the NAM product management team responsible to drive profitable growth of our core Emergency Lighting (EML) Central Power Systems (Central Battery Systems, Mini/Micro Inverters) and IOT product portfolios, defining product roadmaps, marketing plans, including marketing communication, training, and sales initiatives.

Reporting to the NAM EML Product Line Manager, you will be responsible for driving the life cycle of products, systems, or services, including development, launch, maintenance, pricing and profitability of above mentioned portfolios in North America.

This role is contributing to the Electrification, Smart Buildings division of ABB.

The work model is 100% remote. This role requires traveling 40% of the time (Canada & United States).

This position is graded as Grade 12.

Responsibilities:
  • Driving the profitability and life cycle of EML product portfolios by defining pricing guidelines and market position
  • Overseeing inventory levels and sales volumes to ensure ability to meet customer orders, while tracking and analyzing the performance and trends of the EML product portfolios
  • Working closely with R&D to propose and evaluate product feasibility projects and roadmaps for new Emergency Lighting products
  • Monitoring revenues and sales trends and communicate with cross-functional manufacturing team, forecasted fluctuations providing the ability to meet customer needs, while ensuring profitable levels of inventory
  • Ensuring set KPIs are reached on the life cycle of Emergency Lighting products and services
  • Structuring pricing guidelines & market positioning to optimize organic growth and expand into new segments
  • Providing technical and commercial assistance to the sales teams
Requirements:
  • More than 5 years of experience in a similar function, with strong technology background and a good understanding of the electrical construction/lighting industry
  • Sound knowledge of lighting products
  • Demonstrated experience of managing product, marketing, and sales strategy
  • Knowledge and experience of related products and solutions development in an agile organization
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A bachelor's degree of engineering : an asset
