Requirements
Must have:
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience as a Product Owner in Agile environments.
  • Practical experience with data analysis and business intelligence tools, ideally Power BI.
  • Proven experience in managing product backlogs and leading deliveries within an Agile/Scrum context.
  • A degree or equivalent.
Responsibilities
  • I will act as the strategic voice of both the client and the business within the data engineering team, translating complex business needs into clear and actionable requirements for AI and data products.
  • I will own and manage the product backlog, ensuring prioritization aligns with business objectives, technical feasibility, and team capacity.
  • I will closely collaborate with data engineers, architects, analysts, and stakeholders to define and deliver impactful solutions utilizing AI tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
  • I will lead the planning and execution of product increments, which includes sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • I will define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform continuous improvement.
  • I will facilitate cross‑functional alignment and communication, ensuring transparency and a shared understanding between business and technical teams.
  • I will promote data governance, quality, and compliance standards across all product initiatives.
  • I will stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, including AI and analytics innovations, to guide product strategy and foster adoption.

Preferred Skills and Experiences
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business, or a related field; a master’s or a product management certification is a plus.
  • Over 7 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role, ideally within a data engineering or analytics environment.
  • Bilingual in French and English, with strong communication skills in both languages.
  • Agile certifications (like CSPO) are advantageous.
  • A demonstrated interest or proven experience in AI-based solutions and innovation, with a passion for leveraging emerging technologies to enhance data products.
  • A strong capacity for stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
Work Arrangement
  • Hybrid work model, with two days per week in our Montreal office.
  • Contract type: Fixed‑term for 6 months, with expectations of 40 hours per week.
Compensation
  • Hourly rate between $90.00 and $100.00.
