Allstate Canada is seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to join our Toronto-based team. You will design and implement scalable web applications using Java Spring Boot and React.js, while ensuring robust REST APIs and efficient database access.

You will work in an Agile environment, emphasize TDD, and collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions in a dynamic insurance tech setting.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of professional full-stack development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot API development.
• Strong proficiency in Java, React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3.
• Strong understanding of relational database schema design and query optimization.
• Proven experience in writing unit tests following TDD (Test-Driven Development) practices.
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
• Proficient with Git/GitHub and collaborative version control workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of unit testing and follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles to deliver clean, maintainable, and reliable code.

Compensation

Expected compensation for this role ranges from $ 80,900.00 - 110,000.00 annually. Actual salary offered to successful candidates will vary based on their skills and experience.
