Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Product Engineer to join Burlington Operations. You will sustain and enhance complex automated manufacturing systems, work on test data analysis, and develop/test hardware.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to quality, cost, and delivery targets are essential. The role requires a Bachelor’s in electronics engineering and about 5 years in senior test engineering, with experience across multiple test platforms and audio-based module testing.

Job Description

onsemi is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join their Burlington Operations as a Product Engineer. As a Product Engineer, you will have the opportunity to participate and contribute to a team to sustain and enhance complex computerized automated integrated manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities
  • Experience in implementing wafer test solutions and equipment.
  • Well-versed in developing test hardware.
  • Gather and analyze test data to improve, simplify, and optimize test solutions.
  • Complete test release & product transfer to manufacturing as quickly as possible.
  • Interface with external and internal customers, including Product Development, Marketing, Business Unit, Manufacturing, and Product Engineering.
  • Identify, define, and implement new test methodology and process.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Be flexible and willing to work extra hours to meet critical deadlines.
  • Able to work in an environment where quality, cost, and delivery are paramount.
Signal integrity
  • High-frequency signal integrity, impedance matching
  • Noise isolation
  • Good grounding and current return analysis
Product understanding
  • Able to interpret datasheets
  • Able to identify test requirements without complete device information
  • Work with project, technical, and product leads
  • Answer test development questions and data summaries in the test lead role
  • Understand device programming relevant to test requirements
Test strategy
  • Understand fault coverage requirements
  • Test data analysis and reports for the team
  • Work with PE and technical lead to ensure correct coverage
  • Develop tests and sequence them to produce test program
  • Assist with data sheet development
Schematic and board design familiarity
  • Work with contractors to define product test hardware requirements
  • Develop schematics and review with the project team
  • Develop layout and review with the project team
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in an electronics-based engineering discipline.

Experience: 5 years in a senior Test Engineering role; familiarity with multiple test platforms is an asset, along with expertise in testing audio-based modules.

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $101,700 to $1172,700 Range plus health benefits. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
