Job summary

Room 8 Group is seeking a Game Producer to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and drive on-time, high-quality delivery of game projects. You will manage schedules, risks, and dependencies, collaborating with Creative, Design, Art, Engineering and QA while guiding agile processes and stakeholder communication.

The role requires strong production discipline, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of game development. Montreal-based team, with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Producer or equivalent in video game development.
  • Strong understanding of game development pipelines and production environments.
  • Experience coordinating Design, Art, Engineering, QA and other functions.
  • Good knowledge of Agile and iterative development methodologies.
  • Excellent planning, prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Identify risks early and drive mitigation plans.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work with both creative and technical teams.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence or similar tooling, and analytics.
  • Professional proficiency in English.

The next great challenge is coming: We are looking for aGame Producer to join our production team and help drive the successful delivery of high-quality video game projects. The Producer is responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary teams, maintaining production visibility, managing priorities and risks, and ensuring that the project progresses in line with agreed scope, quality, budget, and schedule. Working closely with Creative, Design, Art, Engineering, QA, and external stakeholders, the Producer acts as a key point of coordination between teams and helps create the conditions for efficient, predictable, and collaborative development. The ideal candidate combines strong production discipline with excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and a genuine understanding of game development.

  • Proven experience as a Producer, Associate Producer, Project Manager, or equivalent role within the video game industry;
  • Strong understanding of game development pipelines and multidisciplinary production environments;
  • Experience coordinating teams across Design, Art, Engineering, QA, and other development functions;
  • Good knowledge of Agile and iterative development methodologies;
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills;
  • Ability to identify production risks early and drive mitigation plans;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • Ability to work effectively with both creative and technical teams;
  • Comfortable working with production tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent project management platforms;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Own and maintain production planning for assigned projects, workstreams, or teams;

  • Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies, and proactively coordinate their resolution;
  • Work closely with discipline leads to assess workload, capacity, and resource requirements;
  • Support estimation and forecasting activities;
  • Maintain accurate production reporting and ensure clear visibility on project status;
  • Escalate critical risks and issues with clear recommendations and proposed mitigation plans;
  • Coordinate communication between internal teams, external partners, and clients where applicable;
  • Support change management when scope, priorities, or production assumptions evolve;
  • Contribute to improving production processes, workflows, and team efficiency;
  • Help foster a collaborative, accountable, and solution-oriented production culture;
  • Ensure that project decisions and key production information are properly documented and communicated;
  • Support project leadership in balancing scope, quality, resources, and schedule;
