Summerhill Market in Toronto is seeking an experienced, hands-on Produce Manager to lead one of our most vibrant departments in a fast-changing retail environment. You’ll mentor teams, ensure freshness, quality, and visual merchandising, and drive department performance.

Qualifications

• Previous Produce Department leadership experience in grocery or specialty retail.
• Strong knowledge of fresh produce handling, merchandising, and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and team-building skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
• Passion for food, retail, and creating an exceptional customer experience.

• Drive exceptional product quality, freshness, rotation, and presentation standards
• Manage inventory, ordering, shrink, and department profitability
• Coach, train, and develop team members to deliver excellent customer service
• Create visually impactful displays that inspire customers and maximize sales
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and health & safety standards are consistently upheld
• Support scheduling, productivity, and labour management within the department
• Jump in wherever needed — this is a hands‑on leadership role
