Sobeys Inc. is seeking a clerk to deliver exceptional customer service at all times in Canada. You will enter/scan items, handle payments, balance the register, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. Flexible shifts and strong interpersonal skills are valued.

The role focuses on accuracy, courtesy, and efficiency, supporting store operations and customer satisfaction with a positive attitude and safe practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred.
• Knowledge of the cash register system is a major asset.

• Enter and/or scan the item(s) selected by the customer.
• Ensure entered/scanned prices are accurate, and cancel transactions according to established standards.
• Handle cash and other payment methods and make deposits according to policies.
• Balance the cash register.
• Meet productivity standards (sales/hour, entries/minute).
• Provide exceptional and attentive customer service.
• Bag items according to standards.
• Keep work areas and uniform clean and well-maintained.
• Use equipment and supplies in a safe and efficient manner.
• Comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Perform any other related duties.
