Job summary

Sobeys Inc. in Canada’s retail network seeks a Produce Clerk to help keep the produce department well stocked, ensuring a quick and enjoyable shopping experience for customers. Full training is provided to get you up to speed on store policies and customer service standards.

You'll greet customers, assist with product selection, support backroom operations, and handle point-of-sale relief during peak hours. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and flexible evening/weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Upholds and complies with company procedures, standards and policies in all situations
• Greets customers in a polite and friendly manner
• Demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with Sobeys’s programs
• Stocking produce and related product to shelves such as (Frozen, perishable and non-perishables)
• Maintaining and building merchandise displays in compliance with Sobeys programs
• Rotation of product
• Loading and unloading of product for the sales floor
• Backroom and inventory management
• Operating a cash register as needed for relief during peak business hours
• Any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager
