Job summary

Sobeys Inc. in Nova Scotia is seeking a Produce Clerk to provide friendly, professional service, fulfill duties for all areas of the Produce Department, and supervise the department in the Manager's absence.

You'll actively contribute to an engaging environment for employees and customers, handle orders, prep produce, merchandise, maintain sanitation, and support adherence to company standards. A high school diploma and at least 12 months' experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good work ethic with multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to meet customer needs
• Supervise produce personnel in the absence of the Produce Manager
• Promote an employee culture of coaching and development
• Complete customers produce orders
• Receive produce orders
• Perform daily produce preparation
• Merchandise produce department
• Implement SMART retailing (Atlantic)

• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Perform administrative duties as required
