Join Our Team at Timberlands Food Store! Are you enthusiastic about delivering outstanding customer service? Do you excel in a fast-paced environment? Our Timberlands Food Store is offering an excellent opportunity for you! We’re currently looking for a casual Produce Clerk to join our dynamic team.

Position

Produce Clerk

Employment Status

Casual: Less than 24 hours per week

Part-time: 24 - 36 hours per week. Benefit eligible after 3 months. If you are coming from out of province, please remember you need to have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability

Weekdays and weekends - mornings, afternoons, and evenings

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Guide customers to specific items
  • Assist in receiving and inspecting fresh produce
  • Stock, face, cull and rotate inventory following the First In, First Out (FIFO) process
  • Wash, cut, and package product for fresh cut program
  • Water plants and change water in flowers as required
  • Ensure consistent supply and display of fresh produce
  • Operate equipment safely
  • Maintain temperature logs and ensure all food and equipment temperatures comply with food safety guidelines
  • Verify package dates and remove expired products
  • Stay informed about Canadian Food Inspection Agency recalls and CAC’s required response, providing customers with current information
  • Practice safe food handling procedures and wear appropriate attire
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
  • Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required.)
