Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Canada Procurement Specialist to join as a key member of the Source-to-Invoice process, supporting the Direct and Indirect procurement teams in North America. The specialist will focus on regional support, complex and language-dependent issues, Oracle procure-to-pay system implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include supplier identification, managing bids, negotiations, contract awards, resolving supplier issues, ensuring policy compliance, and supporting sustainability and cost-saving goals. The role requires a thorough understanding of procurement practices within the engineering and construction industries, including program management and project types such as consulting, environmental engineering, and design-build.

Role accountabilities:

• Manage Canada Source to Invoice processes, including leading change management for Oracle PR/PO adoption, building stakeholder relationships, and ensuring policy adherence.
• Support procurement activities by understanding supply capabilities, implementing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and leading negotiations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally within ANA and Global Procurement to share knowledge and improve processes.
• Support sustainability and cost-saving initiatives.

Key shared accountabilities:

• Collaborate with partners to leverage resources and share best practices.
• Maintain purchasing controls and manage supply chain relationships through KPI reviews.
• Develop procurement strategies for high-value and high-risk pursuits in collaboration with pursuit leaders.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of procurement experience in engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, or related field.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Cloud, and system implementations.
• Proven change management skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in business applications, especially Excel.
• Understanding of contracts, supplier performance, and market issues.
