Tasks
  • Identify and qualify potential suppliers.
  • Negotiate procurement contracts and agreements.
  • Analyze and plan raw material and component needs.
  • Prepare and place orders to replenish stock.
  • Create purchase orders within authorized limits or submit them for approval.
  • Respond to quote requests in collaboration with estimators and account managers.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials for internal clients.
  • Develop long‑term procurement and inventory management strategies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct annual supplier evaluations and participate in audits.
  • Follow up on service agreements and ensure compliance.
  • Manage defective parts with suppliers in collaboration with the Quality Department.
  • Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or purchasing.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • In-depth knowledge of supplier contracts and agreements.
  • Advanced professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with stakeholders in other provinces.
  • Experience with ERP software (Epicor).
  • Strong knowledge of the manufacturing sector, particularly in sheet metal (an asset).
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
