Job summary

itec group Inc. is representing a leading organization in the advanced manufacturing and nuclear sector in search of an experienced Procurement Manager.

This role demands strong leadership within a highly regulated environment and a track record of strategic procurement, supplier management, and contract negotiations. You will lead the procurement team, develop sourcing strategies, work closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Finance, and drive cost reduction while maintaining supply

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive procurement experience in manufacturing, engineering, nuclear, or regulated industries.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Professional designation such as SCMP, PMP, P.Eng., or another relevant designation.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, contracts, and procurement best practices.
  • Knowledge of CSA N285 and/or ASME Section III is strongly preferred.
  • Nuclear-sector experience is a major asset.
  • Strong understanding of quality requirements and documentation in regulated environments.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and senior leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the procurement function, including strategic sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, quality requirements, and project schedules.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop procurement team members.
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance, pricing, delivery, and quality.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality and supply continuity.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Project Management, and Finance teams.
  • Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on technical, commercial, and quality requirements.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable industry standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits and maintain appropriate procurement documentation and records.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, purchase orders, and long‑term supplier arrangements.
  • Monitor market conditions and develop strategies to mitigate supply-chain risks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.

itec group is representing a leading organization in the advanced manufacturing and nuclear sector in the search for an experienced Procurement Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with strong leadership experience who understands the complexities of highly regulated manufacturing environments. Experience within the nuclear sector would be a significant asset, particularly exposure to nuclear quality standards, codes, and procurement requirements.
