Job summary

University Health Network (UHN) is Canada's leading hospital network, offering a pivotal Financial Analyst II role within the Finance department at 700 University Ave. The position supports budgeting, forecasting and complex financial analysis across procurement and supply chain portfolios.

Reporting to the Business Manager, Finance, you will develop dashboards and models, drive financial planning, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, financial analysis, or business reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with large datasets and financial models.
• Understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Query, reporting automation, Microsoft Copilot, or similar tools is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for decision making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports, reconciliations, journal entries, variance analyses and working papers.
• Support annual budgets, forecasts, variance analyses and reporting.
• Perform financial analysis, modelling, rebate analysis, and business case assessments.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities and insights.
• Develop dashboards, reporting tools and models to improve visibility and decision support.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and standardize processes.
