Are you ready to play a key role in supporting the operations of a large, dynamic organization?

We are looking for a procurement buyer to manage end-to-end procurement for Best Buy Canada’s Non-IT, not-for-resale goods and services. In this role, you will handle purchasing, negotiating, and building strong relationships with suppliers to support the needs of our business.

This is a 7-month fixed-term contract to cover a maternity leave.

The successful candidate is needed to be located within the Lower Mainland, BC, where we practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you’ll do:
  • Responsible for creating purchase orders based on specifications and requisitions from stakeholders, managing ordering systems (Oracle Purchasing, myStore, supplier portals), and ensuring timely delivery
  • Act as a key point of contact with suppliers to resolve any order-related issues or deficiencies quickly and efficiently
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify procurement needs, validate requirements, and recommend suitable suppliers
  • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, specifications, and service
  • Lead and implement cost-saving initiatives and support continuous improvement in procurement processes
  • Coordinate product deliveries with logistics partners and resolve supply chain issues to ensure smooth operations
What we’re looking for:
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills (intermediate level)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills, effectively supporting both internal and external stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree and a purchasing designation (SCMP) or equivalent
