Procurement Assistant, Engineering (1 year contract) #HJX

This role is responsible for procuring parts, packaging, and other materials as required, to ensure timely receipt of materials, monitor and control costs. This position is also responsible for responding to customer needs, managing customer orders through the process, and is delivered to customers’ site. Responsible for inventory accuracy and maintaining accurate documentation of parts and finished goods. Must be able to track and document all goods and is responsible for developing and maintaining industry best practices for inventory including cycle counts, handling, disposal, and reporting, along with Finance. The incumbent relies on a variety of resources to verify accuracy including visual and electronic. He/She will work to educate and effectively communicate to other employees on key inventory issues. He/She will be expected to recommend updates and follow all standard operating procedures, GMP policies, and ISO standards.

Tasks:
  • 1. Obtain inventory requirements of materials to support assembly needs.
  • 2. Acquire materials which ensure high quality of products and on-time delivery.
  • 3. Daily entering and processing of Manufacturing Orders and verifying material availability, as applicable.
  • 4. Responsible for responding to customer needs, managing customer orders through the process.
  • 5. Responsible for independently processing orders including freight, export documents, and tariffs within a specified region.
  • 6. Responsible for ensuring equipment is delivered to customers’ site.
  • 7. Responsible for reporting, monitoring, counting materials and finished goods, inventory control.
  • 8. A good team player and able to collaborate with regional sales personnel, regional administrator personnel and other support functions.
  • 9. Other ad hoc duties as assigned
