Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Project Engineer to lead scheduling and planning for the Detour Lake Mine. You will work with engineering, construction, and procurement teams to ensure schedules align with project goals, manage critical paths, and support risk mitigation on a heavy industrial site.

The role requires hands-on scheduling expertise, coordination with multiple stakeholders, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced mining environment.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in engineering and/or project management, or equivalent experiences.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project engineering and construction.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in engineering and construction planning.
• Experience with heavy industrial site environments and CAD is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain master engineering and construction schedules; ensure realistic, competitive timelines.
• Communicate updated schedule to stakeholders and track progress.
• Update schedules with construction work and supply packages; identify improvements.
• Monitor critical path, delays, and constraints; propose alternatives to regain schedule.
• Coordinate meetings with contractors, vendors, and site supervisors; report progress and risks.
