Job description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Process Operator on a temporary basis on our Operations team. This position requires on-site work and is based in Belle Plaine, SK.

This position would be approximately 8 months.

Are you looking to elevate your career in the safety and reliability of boiler operations? Our Co-op Ethanol Complex has made a significant economic impact in southern Saskatchewan by providing renewable low carbon fuel, and we are looking for a Process Operator to join our team!

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operations of plant equipment and systems to ensure product is meeting established standards.
  • Perform quality assurance tests on the product using testing instruments and making necessary corrective adjustments based on results.
  • Perform equipment checks and minor maintenance as required. If an issue is identified, you will make the necessary machinery and equipment adjustments and implement the proper response.
  • You will ensure all water testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.

The Team: You will work closely with other Process Operators and will report into the Production Manager. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, trust, and safety.

We help grow Western Canadian communities through our commitment to purchase local grain and starch inputs to produce ethanol and dried distillers grain (DDG). We use the ethanol to support a lower carbon economy in Western Canada.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Production, Trades and Maintenance and:

  • Have relevant industrial experience.
  • Have a 4th, 3rd, or 2nd Class Power Engineering Certification.
  • Have the following training required:
  • Standard safety orientation
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods
  • Fire and Rescue
  • Boiler and Water Treatment
  • OH&S
  • WHMIS
  • Mobile Equipment
  • Confined spaces
  • Fire extinguisher
  • OHC level 1 & 2
