A leading welding certification organization in Quebec is seeking a Procedure Verification Engineer responsible for reviewing and approving welding documents in accordance with established standards. The role also includes Electrodes Certification duties that may require travel across North America and internationally. As a Procedure Verification Engineer, you are responsible for the review of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Welding Procedure Data Sheets (WPDS) and Welding Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR) submitted by clients. In this position they will review and approve these documents in accordance with established standards and CWB Group work instructions. A Procedure Verification Engineer could also be assigned Electrodes Certification responsibilities, which includes planning / testing and assessing conformity of welding consumables to CSA W48, AWS A5 specifications or ISO welding consumable standards. It also includes the review and auditing of welding consumables manufacturers quality system. If assigned to Electrodes Certification they will be required to travel within Canada, the United States, Mexico, South America or overseas as 90% of CWB certified welding consumables are manufactured outside Canada.
