As a Private Tax Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Cut through ambiguity and turn unstructured problems into clear plans
  • Coach, develop, retain, and mentor junior tax professionals; be the mentor people trust
  • Switch seamlessly between big‑picture strategy and precision‑level detail
  • Anticipate stakeholder needs and shape, test, and discuss proactive solutions
  • Contribute deep technical tax knowledge to every engagement
  • Fuse human insight with technology to deliver smarter, faster results
  • Navigate and lead across diverse teams, industries, and complex engagements
  • Initiate and lead candid conversations with teams, clients, and stakeholders to build trust and momentum
  • Manage the efficient delivery to tax consulting and compliance engagements to our clients
  • Uphold the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve
  • Hold a Canadian CPA (or CA/other relevant designation) or a Master’s in Tax and have completed Levels I–III of the CPA In‑Depth Tax Course as an asset.
  • Demonstrate expertise in corporate tax, ideally focused on private corporations, and turn complex rules into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Manage, develop, retain, and mentor junior tax professionals while building high‑trust, high‑performance teams.
  • Experience in public accounting is an asset, understanding engagement cadence, client dynamics, and how to elevate service.
  • Thrive under pressure by prioritizing effectively, juggling multiple assignments, and staying organized without sacrificing quality.
  • Show an entrepreneurial and tech‑curious mindset, committed to upskilling for a digital world and open to new tools and ways of working.
