Job summary

Manulife Financial invites applications for a Senior Financial Analyst to manage a portfolio of investments, oversee NAV and valuation processes, and support month-end through year-end accounting. The role collaborates with multiple teams to improve processes and drive efficiency in a hybrid Toronto setting.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in accounting/finance, preferably in private equity or real estate, with CPA partials viewed as a plus; strong communication and attention to detail are

Qualifications

• Undergraduate/Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Partial/Completion of Professional accounting designation (CPA) is a plus.
• 2–3 years of accounting/finance experience (preferably in private equity, funds, or real estate). Private Equity Fund administration experience is a plus.
• Competencies and experience in accounting standards, finance, audit, management reporting and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review daily, monthly & quarterly Fund Administration deliverables.
• Prepare and aid in review of NAV, Valuation and TA process including Capital Calls and Distributions.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting oversight with financial statements and variance analysis.
• Reconcile discrepancies between the Administrator and Internal Book of Record.
• Create cash flow projections; prepare cash call and distribution instructions.
• Provide internal & external audit support and collect financial information.
• Assist in acquisitions/dispositions accounting and due diligence.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and processes.
