Job summary

Sagard Private Equity Canada is seeking an Intern to join its team in Montréal or Toronto from May to August 2027. The intern will participate in all stages of the investment process, including sourcing, screening, due diligence, financial analysis and portfolio monitoring.

The role offers hands-on exposure to private equity with experienced professionals on live transactions and strategic initiatives, requiring fluency in French and English for Québec positions.

Qualifications

• Second or third year of a Bachelor of Business Administration or related program
• Previous internship in private equity, venture capital, investment banking or consulting is an asset; strong academics
• Excellent analytical, financial modeling and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and a data-driven mindset
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and entrepreneurial environment

Responsibilities

• Support the sourcing, screening and evaluation of new investment opportunities
• Assist in the execution of due diligence for prospective investments
• Contribute to company valuation and investment structuring analysis
• Build and maintain financial models to support investment decisions
• Prepare presentations and investment memos for the Investment Committee
• Support portfolio management activities, including performance tracking and adhoc analysis
