Job summary

Scotiabank in Vancouver seeks a seasoned Private Banking professional to lead a high-value client portfolio and deepen wealth management relationships. You will identify lending and advisory opportunities, coordinate with Retail, Wealth Credit Solutions, and other partners, and drive acquisition strategies to grow a sustainable book of business.

The role emphasizes relationship management, strategic credit structuring, and active referral networks, with a path toward leadership within Wealth

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Commercial Banking and/or Private Banking lending experience.
• Established network of High Net Worth clients and referral sources.
• Must be an experienced banker with exceptional interpersonal, leadership, networking and business development skills.
• University degree (BCom, MBA, CFA), in addition to industry courses (e.g. CSC, PFP, CFP).

Responsibilities

• Lead Portfolio Management: grow client portfolio and identify opportunities, coordinate with Wealth or Scotiabank partners.
• Negotiate credit solutions with ACE or Wealth Credit Solutions for larger or customized needs.
• Drive business development with partners, COIs and other channels to attract/retail high net worth clients.
• Lead financial planning discussions and refer to specialists over time to meet client goals.
• Ensure operational controls and support staff guidance; review client concerns and resolve issues.
