Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at New Value Solutions Group

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Privacy Analyst (Consultant) to support in delivering privacy-related services and initiatives. As part of a cross-functional team of IT consultants, staff, and business leaders, you will contribute to the protection of personal information across the province by guiding and supporting privacy compliance efforts for digital systems and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for complex or multi-system government IT solutions.
  • Support Privacy Maturity Model Assessments as requested.
  • Provide expert guidance on provincial and federal privacy legislation (e.g., FOIP, HIPA, PIPEDA).
  • Assist in the preparation, response, and mitigation of privacy breaches.
  • Lead and facilitate privacy focus groups and educational sessions.
  • Collaborate with Access and Privacy Officers to enhance privacy program maturity.
  • Draft and review privacy policies, procedures, and related documentation.
  • Design and deliver privacy training tailored to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Contribute to privacy reviews for proposals, projects, and proofs of concept.
  • Apply a privacy-by-design approach to the development of digital services.
  • Evaluate and advise on privacy implications related to biometric data and emerging technologies.
  • Conduct research and provide recommendations to advance privacy protection efforts.
  • Ensure alignment with information security standards and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience developing and delivering PIAs.
  • Proven working experience with Saskatchewan’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and The Health Information Protection Act, or equivalent privacy legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience with federal and/or provincial government privacy projects.
  • Strong understanding of privacy-by-design and secure systems development.
  • Experience reviewing project proposals to assess privacy risks and opportunities.
  • Familiarity with biometric data systems and related privacy implications.
  • Proven ability to independently manage project schedules and deliverables.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and customer service skills.
  • Education in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; privacy certifications such as CIPP/C or CIPT considered an asset.
  • Must be able to work in Canada.
