Job description

As a Principal Software Engineer on the Analytics UI Team you will be a strategic technical leader driving the architecture design and delivery of next-generation user interfaces. You will shape the technical direction for critical projects mentor engineers and guide best practices that influence the broader engineering organization.

Major Responsibilities

• Lead and influence the design development and evolution of UI architecture and front-end systems across the Analytics platform.
• Define technical vision and set engineering standards for performance scalability maintainability and accessibility.
• Drive execution of complex strategic initiatives that span multiple teams and technical domains.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Design and service teams to deliver high-impact solutions that align with business and customer needs.
• Mentor and coach engineers across multiple levels fostering technical growth collaboration and innovation.
• Champion quality and reliability ensuring robust unit integration and automated test coverage as well as resilient operational practices.
• Advocate for modern best practices in UI engineering continuous delivery and system observability.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to long-term architectural strategies.
• Promote inclusion transparency and integrity in alignment with Genesys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

About You

You’re an expert technologist with a strategic mindset and a passion for mentorship and innovation. You’re as comfortable in architectural discussions as you are diving into complex code and you thrive on collaboration creativity and delivering meaningful results.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10 years of professional experience building and scaling web applications.
• Expertise in JavaScript TypeScript HTML and CSS.
• Deep understanding of modern frameworks such as EmberJS React or similar.
• Proven ability to architect complex front-end systems with focus on performance reliability and maintainability.
• Strong understanding of application observability logging metrics monitoring.
• Excellent communication influence and collaboration skills across teams and disciplines.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Understanding of accessibility security localization and compliance best practices.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and leading technical communities.
