Job summary
Autodesk is seeking a Senior Software Developer or Principal Software Developer to join the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Data Validation team. You will help build cloud-based collaboration capabilities across Autodesk design tools.
The role requires deep cloud experience and hands-on coding in Java, with a focus on scalable backend services and secure cloud architecture. You will mentor teammates and contribute to on-call production support.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of software development for enterprise cloud services.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience building cloud services using Java for backend.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, serverless, microservices, IaC, GitOps, AWS best practices.
- Hands-on AWS services: ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, SNS; Event-Driven Architecture a plus.
- Security principles, authentication and authorization.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, ORM, caching.
- Distributed systems design and RESTful APIs integration.
- Monitor backend performance and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitHub Actions).

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $131,000 and $191,400. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
