Principal Product Manager is responsible for define the product strategy and vision for strategic new products and platform. This is a strategic role that works with Architecture, UX , DevOps and engineering leaders to define the product/platform requirements. The role covers the full lifecycle of the product from collecting ideas, synthesizing opportunities and creating value propositions, scoping and accepting the feature/functionality set, supporting release and go to market efforts, monitoring and gathering feedback during it lifespan and retiring services and components.

What You’ll Do
  • Domain expertise for the owning key components of the N-able Unified Management Platform for Modern IT.
  • Product strategy, design and architecture for key components of the N-able Unified Management Platform for Modern IT offering (Monitoring, Management, Automations – Security, User Management, etc).
  • Architecture, UX and product requirements and drive multiyear strategy.
  • Understand customer and market needs to build product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Analyze competitor, market and technology trends to create new offerings with strong value propositions for our customers.
  • Provide clear and succinct communication on status of high-impact features, project readiness, and other significant issues to a cross-functional team.
  • Develop effective customer/partner feedback loops, listen to feedback, understand its implications, and synthesize feedback into valuable features and products.
  • Autonomous, self starter, able to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Experience with localization (or internationalization) of software product offerings.
  • Work with PM peers to align roadmaps and dependencies throughout the N-able portfolio.
What You’ll Bring
  • A strong drive and ambition.
  • Experience with requirements gathering & prioritization, preferably as a software product manager.
  • Strong presentation, communication, coordination, analytical, and creative problem-solving expertise.
  • Strong technical background with demonstrated skills and experience with technical functions in the Application Management industry.
  • Track record of shipping successful products or delivering successful projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of product marketing, business markets, market research, data analysis and business case modelling.
  • Ability to interact with customers, partners, and press/analysts with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Ability to think and execute at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and self-discipline to work effectively and thrive in a high-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • 7+ years' product management in SaaS IT Management (Monitoring, Backup, Security).
  • Architecture and strategy background a plus.
  • MSP product or business experience a plus.
  • BA/BSc degree or equivalent in computer science or related degree (MBA is a plus).
