Job summary

Varicent is seeking a Principal Offensive Security engineer to be the senior technical authority across applications, cloud environments, enterprise systems, and AI-enabled products. You will execute tests, decide critical security priorities, and coach others to raise the technical bar in a highly autonomous role.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Product, Security, Legal & Compliance and Security leadership to guide risk decisions and shape a scalable security program that includes

Qualifications

• 12+ years of information security experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• 8+ years in offensive security and 4+ years in development or engineering.
• Proven expert in SaaS and cloud offensive security programs.
• Hands-on expertise in penetration testing, red teaming, vulnerability research and AI security testing.
• Strong knowledge of application and cloud security, attack surface management, and secure development practices.

Responsibilities

• Define the offensive security approach and set priorities across teams.
• Lead complex security testing across web, API, mobile, cloud, container, and AI-enabled systems.
• Design red team operations, adversary simulations, and purple team exercises.
• Set technical direction and quality bars for external penetration testing partners and vendors; review findings.
• Evolve vulnerability management and risk-based remediation practices.
