Position Summary
As Principal, HR Business Partner, you act as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders across the organization. You will work with leaders and the People & Culture function to develop strategic and tactical solutions to people-related challenges that drive business results.
What you will do
- Work closely with People & Culture leadership on implementing strategic HR initiatives and rolling them out with assigned business units.
- Partner with business leaders to develop and implement People strategies and initiatives that align with overall business objectives.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support on performance management, employee relations, retention, development planning, policy interpretation, and compensation.
- Partner cross-functionally with internal People teams, finance, legal and other teams that support the HRBP function.
- Advise leaders on organizational design and change management initiatives to optimize team structures and workflows.
- Ensure a human-centric approach to AI implementation, while identifying opportunities to integrate AI into HR workflows to enhance the employee experience.
- Drive the adoption of AI tools and strategies within the People & Culture function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, and guide business units in identifying and implementing AI solutions to optimize their operations.
- Lead performance review cycle and facilitate calibration sessions.
- Work with business leaders to analyze and present engagement survey results, develop insights, and recommend actions for client groups.
- Partner with people leaders to identify top talent and support the creation of individualized development plans.
- Facilitate training on employee retention, performance, and continuing education for Leaguers.
- Partner with other People & Culture functions including HR Operations and HR Programming.
- Build trust and credibility with all employee groups to create a safe, supportive and open environment.
- Have a strong understanding and experience of employment legislation (US & Canada) and manage all employee relations issues.
About you
- Successful career in a fast moving, high-tech environment with experience scaling from 100 to 1000.
- A proven HR Business Partner and skilled facilitator.
- In-depth knowledge of HR functions and Labor Laws (Canada and US).
- At least 7+ years in Human Resources experience, with proven experience partnering with senior leaders and a range of client groups.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully interact with employees at all levels.
- Strong relationship builder and trusted advisor.
- Develop and implement initiatives to foster a diverse and inclusive culture.
- Make significant contributions to growing businesses.
- Coach and mentor; partner with managers and leaders across various functions.
- Lead, interact with, and maintain relationships with employees at all organizational levels.

Compensation
Compensation range for Canada applicants only: $142,100 - $173,700 CAD (base salary; excludes bonus, equity and benefits).
