  • Knowledge and experience applying best practices in the areas of instruction, curriculum, land-based learning and assessment
  • Knowledge of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit languages, histories, and cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a team as well as independently

The Preferred Candidate will have:

  • Familiarity and experience with Northern issues
  • Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience
  • Minimum of five years of successful administrative experience
  • Experience at the elementary school level
  • Strong instructional leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Familiarity and experience with Indigenous education
