Primary Responsibilities

  • Diriger des initiatives pour moderniser les systèmes de données hérités en introduisant des architectures natives dans le cloud, en temps réel, et basées sur les événements.
  • Collaborer avec les équipes IA / ML pour concevoir des pipelines de données optimisés pour l’entraînement des modèles, linférence et l’apprentissage continu.
  • Développer et appliquer des normes de codage, des directives de modélisation des données et des modèles de conception de pipelines au sein des équipes d’ingénierie.
  • Concevoir, développer et maintenir des pipelines de données évolutifs et des processus ETL en utilisant Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks et d’autres services Azure.
  • Mettre en œuvre et optimiser des solutions de stockage de données en utilisant Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database et Delta Lake pour soutenir les besoins en analyses et en rapports.
  • Collaborer avec les scientifiques des données, les analystes et les parties prenantes de l’entreprise pour comprendre les besoins en données et fournir des ensembles de données fiables et de haute qualité.
  • Assurer la sécurité, la conformité et la gouvernance des données en appliquant les meilleures pratiques, le contrôle d’accès basé sur les rôles (RBAC) et le chiffrement.
  • Surveiller et dépanner les flux de données en assurant la performance, la fiabilité et l’efficacité des coûts dans les environnements cloud Azure.
  • Automatiser les tâches d’intégration et de transformation de données en utilisant les fonctions d’Azure Logic Apps et des langages de script comme Python.
  • Fournir un leadership technique et un mentorat aux ingénieurs seniors et juniors en favorisant une culture d’excellence et d’innovation.
Key Elements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 7 years of experience in ETL design, development, and performance tuning using the Microsoft Stack in a multi‑dimensional data warehousing environment.
  • 7 years of advanced SQL programming expertise (PL / SQL, T‑SQL).
  • 5 years of experience in Enterprise Data & Analytics Solution Architecture.
  • 3 years of experience in Python Programming.
  • 3 years of hands‑on experience with Azure, especially for data‑heavy/analytics applications leveraging relational and NoSQL databases, data warehousing, and big‑data solutions.
  • 3 years of experience with key Azure services: Azure Data Factory, Data Lake Gen2, Analysis Services, Databricks, Blob Storage, SQL Database, Cosmos DB, App Service, Logic Apps, and Functions.
  • 2 years of experience designing data models aligning with business requirements and analytics needs.
  • 2 years of experience defining and implementing data security standards, including encryption, auditing, and monitoring.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for intellectual curiosity.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with DevOps processes (CI / CD) and infrastructure as code.
  • Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and data quality tools.
  • Experience developing REST APIs using Java Spring Boot or Python.
  • Experience in building and supporting AI / ML software solutions.
  • Familiarity with stream‑processing systems (e.g., Event Hubs, Storm, Spark-Streaming).
  • Experience with API integrations (RESTful, SOAP) for both internal and external systems to enhance data flow and automation.
  • Experience working in Agile environments; familiarity with Agile tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in data and analytics within the Life Sciences industry is a plus.
Role Specific Information
  • Location: Remote (from one of our Canadian sites).
  • Schedule: Daytime between Monday and Friday. Permanent position as of hiring, full‑time, 37.5 hrs per week.
