Job summary

MHIRJ is seeking a Procurement Specialist - Supplier Performance Management to collaborate with MHIRJ departments to develop new sources of supply, establish strategic alliances, and manage supplier performance across complex initiatives.

You will negotiate contracts, lead cost-reduction initiatives, and ensure compliance with procurement policies, while coaching team members and communicating in French and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Law, or equivalent.
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing and contract management.
• Experience in aerospace and/or manufacturing in a commercial role is an asset.
• Excellent negotiation, commercial, and contractual knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers from a commercial and contractual perspective.
• Lead, develop, and execute project-related strategies by drafting and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
• Identify, analyze, and realize cost-reduction opportunities across all products.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and develop internal and external professional networks.
• Manage supplier performance during complex initiatives and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Support negotiations for claims against non-performing suppliers and apply contractual remedies.
• Ensure contracts comply with procurement policies and governance standards.
• Maintain governance records and KPIs in line with scorecard objectives.
• Identify and implement improvements to procurement processes and tools.

Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist - Supplier Performance Management will work in collaboration with MHIRJ departments to develop new sources of supply and establish strategic alliances, while maintaining partnerships to develop new sources of supply and establish strategic alliances,

Your contribution as a Procurement Specialist - Supplier Performance Management

• Establish and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers from a commercial and contractual perspective;
• Lead, develop, and execute project-related strategies by drafting and negotiating contracts with suppliers to meet approved mandates defined by business requesters within established timelines;
• Identify, analyze, and realize cost-reduction opportunities across all products.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and develop effective internal and external professional networks.
• Support internal department requirements with appropriate complex sourcing strategies while optimizing synergy opportunities within the MHI group.
• Manage supplier performance during the execution of complex initiatives and ensure that contractual obligations are met.
• Support commercial requesters in applying contractual remedies against substantial breaches and lead negotiations for any claims against non-performing suppliers.
• Ensure that contracts are maintained in accordance with MHIRJ procurement policies and business requirements.
• Maintain records on governance and KPIs in accordance with the purchasing balance scorecard objectives.
• Identify and implement improvements to procurement processes and tools

Here is what is needed to succeed:

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Law, or equivalent.
• You possess at least five (5) years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing and contract management, ideally in multiple products.
• You have experience in the aerospace and/or manufacturing environment, in a commercial role, an asset.
• You have exemplary negotiation skills, proven commercial and contractual experience, and legal knowledge.
• You enjoy sharing your knowledge and like coaching your team members.
• You are comfortable managing large-scale projects and presenting complex strategies to senior management.
• You possess strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• You are detail-oriented, focused, and committed to meeting tight deadlines.
• You have demonstrated experience in implementing cost-reduction initiatives.
• You are capable of driving improvement and innovation to deliver concrete results for the organization.
• You are fully autonomous and do not require close supervision.
• You have high proficiency and are a good communicator in French and English (written and spoken).
• You possess solid financial management knowledge.
• You can work with MS-Office, ERP/S4 Hana, and Power BI.
