Start Date: November 25, 2025, to June 30, 2026, or until the incumbent returns, whichever occurs first.

Salary: $60,648 - $114,735 + current provincial recruitment and retention allowance Assignment: .20 Limited Duration Position

PRIMARY TEACHER (GRADE 1/2)

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education (Elementary).
  • A valid BC teaching certificate and current membership with The Ministry of Education and Childcare.
  • Ability to assist students as needed in a variety of curriculum areas at primary grade levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a positive classroom learning environment that engages students in active learning experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to use inclusive instruction to meet the learning needs of diverse learners.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working from an inclusion perspective to address diverse learning needs.
  • Understand and use a trauma-informed approach in professional practice.
  • Experience and knowledge using competency‑based assessment strategies.
  • Experience in differentiating instruction to create success in learning for each student.
  • Experience in integrating appropriate technologies into instructional practices to improve learning outcomes for students.
