Job summary

Medavie Health Services West is seeking a temporary full-time Primary Care Paramedic to deliver independent clinical care in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. You will safely transport patients, manage inter-facility transfers, and operate EMS vehicles per safety standards.

Applicants must hold Saskatchewan PCP registration or be eligible, maintain good standing, and provide ITLS/CPR C with a valid Class 4 license and recent background checks. Shift flexibility and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Must meet all legislated requirements for Primary Care Paramedics in Saskatchewan.
• Must be currently registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics.
• Authorized to practice as a Primary Care Paramedic with unrestricted license.
• Must be in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics.
• Ability to work all shifts and maintain good attendance.
• Must provide proof of successful completion of the Physical Ability Test (PAT) within the past 12 months.
• Applicants must submit a copy of Saskatchewan Class 4 Driver's License, ITLS and CPR C, and up-to-date background checks.

Responsibilities

Please note that term lengths are subject to change at any time based on operational needs.The position entails, but is not limited to the following:Independent primary clinical care.Safe transportation of individuals, including emergency and non-emergency responses, as well as inter-facility transfers.Maintain and operate ambulances and related equipment in accordance with patient needs and public safety.Clinical expectations and responsibilities for Primary Care Paramedics are based on the current National Occupational Competency Profile (NOCP) and the Canadian Paramedic Competency Framework (CPCF), Saskatchewan College of Paramedics standards, and the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics registration requirements and Medavie Health Services West policies, procedures, and protocols.As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have:Must meet all legislated requirements for Primary Care Paramedics in Saskatchewan.Must be currently registered with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics as a Primary Care Paramedic or eligible for registration through the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics.Candidates must be authorized to practice as a Primary Care Paramedic, hold an unrestricted license, and be able to perform the full scope of duties associated with the position.
