Imagine a career where, at the end of every day, you know you've made a positive difference in the lives of people who need your help.
At Ambulance New Brunswick, our team consists of talented emergency medical dispatchers, primary and advanced care paramedics, emergency medical technicians, and critical care flight nurses. Health care professionals who respond with their best in some of the most difficult situations imaginable.
As the provincial ambulance service provider, our dispatchers respond to calls from those in medical distress through the 911 system and send help within seconds. Our paramedics take over from there, responding to approximately 130,000 calls per year and transporting patients to hospital by ambulance. And, each year, our specialized air ambulance crew transfers hundreds of the most critically ill and injured patients to specialized medical centres around the Maritimes and beyond.
Clinical expectations and responsibilities for Primary Care Paramedics are based on the current National Occupational Competency Profile (NOCP) for Primary Care Paramedics, Paramedic Association of New Brunswick registration requirements as well as Ambulance NB policies, procedures and protocols.
Our paramedics provide medical support to patients on scene and en route to hospitals. Given the unpredictability of clinical presentations in the field, they are skilled in emergency techniques and well-versed in various medical treatments. “First on scene” in times of crisis, they don’t leave until the job’s done.
If you’re a new graduate from a post‑secondary program in paramedicine or have working experience outside the province of New Brunswick, ANB has a standardized process for selecting top candidates to fill Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) positions. Conducted several times a year, the Selection Process consists of a comprehensive assessment to determine your level of qualification to work for our organization.
Ambulance NB is committed to the principle of equal opportunity in its employment practices and to providing an environment free from discrimination and harassment for all employees.
We would like to thank all candidates for expressing interest. Please note only those selected for interviews will be contacted.
